Day 1: Arrival at Airport-Mt Rwenzori
Warmly welcomed to the Pearl of Africa, Uganda. On reaching Entebbe International Airport via Uganda’s capital, you will be taken to Mbarara town by the driver-guide or tour representative. That will be prior to proceeding to the plateau of Mountain Rwenzori. Then continue to Hotel Margherita to have dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Equator Glaciers Tour (EGT) begins
Rise up early to be taken to Nyakalengija the trailhead off Fort portal road. Go to Ibanda to begin your 5 to 6-hour climb into the mountains. Your hiking will take you via thick equatorial vegetation before reaching Nyabitaba Hut 2650 meters in the late evening. It is a 5-hour climb to Nyabitaba hut, first passing via cultivation then via the forest. It is at Nyabitaba Hut that you will have dinner and overnights.

Day 3: John Matte Hut
Of all-day walks, this is the largest and requiring great effort, expect it to use at least seven hours. From Nyabitaba Hut the path goes through the forest for a short time prior to traversing the Bujuku River at the Kurt Schafer bridge. Have breakfast, continue on a morning hike by way of the Kurt Shafer Bridge to wonder at the sparkling Mobuku river conflux. The track is not bad for the first couple of hours, however, it becomes steeper and so rocky on entering the moorland zone where heather plants are prolific. Take lunch at Nyamikeju Hut where there is a little-used and rather a run-down Hut, as well as a rock shelter. A climb through the open patches, lobelia, and health moss forest before taking a 2-hours walk to the John Matte Hut where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Bujuku Hut
Retreat early via the giant lobelias and heath trees. You go up to the Bigo Bog and a panoramic landscape of lobelias and huge Groundsels. This consumes up to five hours, depending on the condition of the two Bigo Boys, which are usually knee-deep in mud. While going to the Hidi, you will pass Lake Bujuku, which possesses a splendid setting between mounts Stanley, Speke and Baker. Later on, got for dinner and a night stay at Bujuku Hut at 3997 meters.

Day 5: Mount Victoria and Mount Speke
Early morning, depart through the mist valleys with scenic alpine vegetation including gigantic Groundsels and Labelia and ascend Mount Victoria and Mount Speke at 4890 meters.

Day 6: Elena Hut
Leave through the wonderful panorama of the Savoia and Elena glaciers, climb further through to the scott Elbott pass at 4372 meters and continue through the snow to the Elena Hut for overnight rest.

Day 7: Final Ascent to the Alps of Africa
Climb up to the snowy Alexander summit at 5092 meters early morning, and then continue to the greatest summit at 5109 meters, it offers a good panoramic view and thus a great photo chances are present. After that, go down to the beautiful Lake Kitandara for an overnight stay at Kitandara safaris Hut at 3900 meters.

Day 8: Descent, Guy Yeoman Hut
After taking early breakfast, the plunge begins. On your way, have a picnic lunch, after that we continue the journey to Guy Yearson Hut to have dinner and overnights rest.

Day 9: Back to Kasese
Go down to Nyabitato and continue to Ibanda and go into Hotel Margherita for overnight rest.

Day 10: Back to Kampala
Go back to Uganda’s capital, Kampala and then continue to Entebbe Airport for your evening flight.
